Corporate Touch Football Ends Matches

Private Corporate Companies Touch Football came to end over the weekend with the last of the pre-season matches.

Both male and female teams competed in the four week tournament.

 

Up to 30 teams competed in a Private Corporate Companies Touch Football match in their pre-season matches. The tournament ran for at least four weeks. Both men and women competed in the pre touch matches, which were held at Coronation Primary School over the weekend.

 

Some of the companies that took part in the tournament were Nasfund, PMMI Insurance, Mazda BT50, TNT, and the national News Paper.

 

The Assistant  Referee and  Coordinator of the tournament Gerry Kaiuk, is hoping to get more women involved, and has urged to get to outside centers, to organize themselves to prepare for the PNG games, and should start running clinics or tournaments to select representatives to represent their province.

 

Also present at the football were top national players team, who also took part in the tournament.

 

The proper season of the Private Corporate companies, will start as of next week and team numbers are expected to rise. These will see both men and women’s teams, plus 10 mixed teams.
