Hot Spot Episode – 8, 2014

The PNG SP Hunters arrived at the Jackson International Airport in Port Moresby to a quiet home-coming reception of family, friends and with the presence of the media.

With a cool win and an intimidating loss 8under their belt in their first trial matches, the SP Hunters and coaching staff had a taste of the Super Intrust Cup

 

Leading PNG’s first group of elite footballers, a Kumul and former Viper, Israel Eliab also spoke of the areas of performance they as a team have to work on and how they will approach it.

 

The Hunters are back in camp to prepare for their first away match on March 2nd against the Redcliff Dolphins in Redcliff.

 

Come Round 2, 3 and 4 the SP Hunters will play their first home matches at the Kalabond Stadium in Kokopo.

 

Originating from Korea, Tang Soo Do is a discipline art, not known to many, has recently been revived in Port Moresby.  As a Mixed Martial Art, students from Tang Soo Do have participated in Karate and Taekwondo camps and tournaments.

 

Surviving student and Instructor John Aisi and his assistants recovered the art in shire determination to produce disciplined individuals in today’s society.

 

With limited resources and no funding from either the government or corporate entities, Instructor Aisi has been running Tan Soo Do classes at the Socay Training Institute for the last 8 months in Port Moresby.
