Retired United Church Reverend Seneka Moi has passed on after celebrating his one-hundredth birthday two weeks ago.
Reverend Moi was described as a mentor to many, not only because of his disciplined life, but someone who provided services in schools, health and counselling.
His pastoral services in the Papuan Region will always be remembered by many who came across him.
Late Moi’s passing poses a great loss to his 18 children, 62 grandchildren, 121 great grandchildren and 14 great-great grandchildren.
The late reverend hails from Boera Village. He took up pastoral roles after having the desire to follow the footsteps of his father.
In his efforts to spread the word of God, late Moi inspired many who turn to God. His style of preaching remains a legacy for many who say late Moi was a true man of God.
Late Moi’s father lived to 104 years before passing away.
Funeral arrangements for the Late Seneka are underway by family and relatives at Boera Village outside Port Moresby.
