Babao O’Neill a Guest Speaker at First Ladies Function

The wife of Prime Minister Peter O’Neill will become the first wife of a Papua New Guinean Prime Minister to travel to the United States in support of a major fundraiser that will focus on the needs of Papua New Guinea.

Lynda Babao-O’Neill will be a featured guest at a signature function that will be presented by global health non-profit project C.U.R.E.in Denver, California.

The project C.U.R.E First Ladies luncheon is an annual fundraising event that features first ladies from around the world.

This year’s function is expected to raise global awareness on global health care needs and support the delivery of life-saving medical supplies to hospitals, health cares and medical professionals and patients in PNG.

The function is aimed at rising over K4million worth of medical supplies that will be delivered to hospitals and clinic in PNG.   

Lady O’Neill will be working in partnership with Papua New Guinea Tribal Foundation, Exxon Mobil and the Health Department to archive this aim. 

“The funds raised at the luncheon will be used to improve health and save lives in Papua New Guinea through the delivery of medical supplies and equipment. Together in partnership with organisations like Exxon Mobil and Project C.U.R.E., we’re making a significant cure to Papua New Guinea,” said Peter Graham, the managing director of ExxonMobil PNG Limited.
