Police Revive Standing Order

After 25 years, the RPNGC has a Constabulary Standing Order, a guide book that can direct them in their everyday policing.

This follows with the conducting of a series of awareness in 4 regions around the country, which consists of the administration and operations chapters.

The workshop, targets all commissioned officers and trainers within the force to educate all police personnel of the revised CSO. The workshop aims to revive the CSO and induce better understanding of the Commissioner’s Policy Directives as a guide to all police practices.

The Standing Order takes into account current laws and legislation, issues and aspirations of the people, visions and development plans of the National Government.

The onus is now on these officers to implement the CSO by way of inducting men and women to suite them in their work stations. This week, the Momase leg of the roll out program workshop was held at Madang and ends today.

The review CSO was launched on 5th March, 2014, during the Commissioner’s Conference in Madang.
