New Immigration Office Opens In Tokua

Foreign Affairs and Immigration Minister Rimbink Pato officially opened the Tokua Airport Office of the PNG Immigration and Citizenship Services Authority.

PNG ICSA is expanding into other parts of the country, as well as ensuring that its services, including passport and visa, are more accessible. They also plan to join with other key agencies such as Customs, National Quarantine Inspection Authority and the police to secure the country’s borders.

Visa-on-Arrival arrangements will be extended to Tokua, meaning travellers will be able to obtain single-entry tourist or business visas on arrival.

Minister Pato added that the government had directed that East New Britain Province should become the country’s international or tourism hub and an immigration presence on the ground will assist in furthering the agenda.

Minister Pato was joined by officials from the East New Britain Provincial Government, PNG Customs Services and Chief Migration Officer Mataio Rabura.

The PNG ICSA has truly transformed itself into a high performing independent agency.
