Steamships Limited is the thirteenth Gold Sponsor of the sixth Pacific Games. This was officially announcement by Steamship’s Managing Director, Geoff Cundle at Gateway Hotel in Port Moresby today.
This is the second time Steamships has come on Board to support the South Pacific Games to be held in PNG with a million kina.
Steamship will sponsor the SP Games through its subsidiary Coral Sea Hotels. Gateway Hotel in Port Moresby will become an ideal accommodation venue of the thousand athletes that will be coming to PNG for the Pacific Games.
The Games Organizing Committee’s Chief Executive officer, Peter Stewart, said Steamships support towards the games, shows its continued commitment to supporting the country though an event of national significance.
Their sponsorship will assist the Games Organizing Committee to accommodate meetings leading up to the games.
The selected staff from Steamships will also represent team PNG to participate in the Games. Telekom and SP Brewery are amongst the other major sponsors.
