Four Hundred Days To Go

The Pacific Games is 400 days away. Today, students from Ward Strip Primary in Port Moresby received a special visit form the Pacific Games Mascot Tura, the Kokomo.

His visit was to mark the four hundred days countdown to the Pacific Games.

It was all smiles and shouts as excited students gathered in the sun to meet Tura, the Kokomo for his first ever trip to their school.

The countdown celebration is part of the Games Committee’s campaign to raise awareness and involved students for the preparations towards the 2015 Games.

After the count of ten, students released four hundred balloons into the air to mark the remaining four hundred days to the games.

The Games is expected to have over twenty countries coming to PNG for all over the Pacific. The Games Committee will be holding a press conference this afternoon to give an update on the venues of the Games.
