The 2015 Special Export Lager (SEL) PNG Golf Open was launched in Port Moresby last night.
SP Brewery General Manager Stan Joyce presented AUD$152,250 (PGK 330,654.42) to tournament director Andy Stocks for this rich event to be held from the 29th of April to May the 3rd next year at the Royal Port Moresby golf course.
Joyce said this is SP’s 7th consecutive year as the naming rights sponsor and he has witnessed the positive development of golf as its partnership with the Golf Association progresses into 2015.
“Under our premium brand SP Export Lager, this prestigious event not only offers lucrative prizes for golfing professionals but also to share the experience with our great product,” Joyce said.
He said SP Export Lager has achieved international recognition for its taste and is the ideal choice to experience the high professionalism shown in the open. Tournament Director Andy Stocks promised another exciting 2015 SEL PNG Open which will attract 70 international professionals to participate.
Sport and Pacific Games Minister Justin Tkatchenko commended SP Brewery for their continued support of this prestigious event, as well as their development and growth of sports in PNG.
