The EM TV Vocal Fusion Season two auditions will commence in January 2015, in what promises to be an exciting and fabulous showcasing of Papua New Guinea’s ‘fresh’ singing talent.

Auditions will begin on January 17 on the isle of Buka in the Autonomous Region of Bougainville and already, news of the region’s inclusion into the show’s audition venues is being greeted with great enthusiasm by music enthusiasts.

Melchoir Wagum, while commenting on social media posts about the Buka audition said “It’s going to be great; this gives singers the chance to expose their singing potential. Thank you EM TV Vocal Fusion for giving recognition”.

Auditions will continue to Goroka on 24 January and on to Alotau on the 25th. Port Moresby auditions will be staged on February 14 and 15, 2015.

The popular singing contest began this year and enabled singers who had never been seen before, to gain exposure on national TV and to go through vocal training and guidance from music professionals in the likes of Fijian singing sensation Laisa Vulakoro, also a judge on the show and Emmanuel ‘Toxic’ Muganaua, music director of EM TV Vocal Fusion and currently, PNG’s number one music producer famous for producing popular PNG music icons such as the group Jokema, Tati, NiuAge Band, Twinhox, Ricky Kali, and many others.

EM TV Vocal Fusion Season One ended with young Jacob Ilave being crowned winner with first runner-up Delma Minei, second runner-up Steven Ilave and third runner-up Theresa Miria.

Jacob won a whooping K50, 000 cash prize, a contract to record a single with Australia’s Ministry of Sound and a year’s worth of Coca Cola supply.

With music being an integral part of PNG’society, EM TV Vocal Fusion endeavours to support aspiring singers and to provide an opportunity for singers to gain exposure and to improve their singing skills and talent as they progress on in the show.

EM TV Vocal Fusion Season Two aims to be even bigger and interested contestants are already beginning their individual preparations for the auditions.
