TREE OF LIFE FOUNDATION SUPPORTS KINGAWI VILLAGE IN REMOTE SEPIK PLAINS
The Tree of Life Foundation is a Non-Profit Organisation aimed at building the communities within the five (5) Local Level Government Council Areas of Angoram District in East Sepik Province has supported a sporting event during Easter period.
As the 2026 Easter season approached, the people of Kingawi reached out for support to organise an Easter Sports Celebration, an event aimed at bringing the community together through recreation, unity, and positive engagement.
Recognizing the importance of such initiatives in rural settings, the Foundation stepped in to help make their vision a reality.
In response, the Directors of the Tree of Life Foundation, Mr. Michael Koimo and Mrs. Emily Koimo personally travelled to Kingawi village, delivering sports equipment, trophies and prizes to support the planned activities. Their visit not only provided essential resources but also boosted morale among villagers who had limited means to fund such events. The Easter Sports
Celebration became more than just games, it symbolized hope, inclusion, and the power of community collaboration, especially in a region where opportunities for organized social activities are rare.
Konge Simbian, located along the Sepik Plains and bordering the electorates of Wasara Gawi, Angoram, and Yangoru Sausia, continues to face significant challenges due to the lack of basic government services such as schools, aid posts, and accessible roads. Despite these hardships, the resilience of the people remains strong. Through initiatives like this, the Tree of Life Foundation is playing a vital role in bridging gaps, fostering community spirit, and bringing meaningful change to remote areas like Kingawi village in East Sepik Provine.
