MADANG FC SET FOR CRUCIAL FRIENDLY AGAINSTFC MOROBE WAWENS

Madang United Football Club (MUFC) is set to face Agmark FC Morobe Wawens in a highly anticipated friendly match on April 11, as the team intensifies preparations for the upcoming National Premier League (NPL) season.

The trial match is expected to play a key role in shaping the team’s readiness, with MUFC management emphasizing its importance in assessing performance levels ahead of the competition which will be played at Laiwaden oval in Madang.

Team Manager Terence Sisu said the friendly will provide the technical team with valuable insight into the squad’s current form and highlight areas that require further improvement.

“The April 11 trial will give our technical team a clear idea of where the team stands in terms of preparation and what more needs to be done before our first official game,” Sisu said.

He added that the team has made steady progress in recent weeks, particularly in terms of preparation, structure, and technical execution.

“So far, preparation and the technical aspects have been positive. The team is coming together well, and we are building confidence as we approach the start of the season,” he said.

Madang United prides itself as a true provincial team, bringing together talent from both rural and urban areas across Madang. The club continues to serve as a platform for local players to showcase their abilities at the highest level of football in the country.

“MUFC is Madang’s home team. It represents our people equally, from the villages to the town. This is something we should all be proud of,” Sisu stated.
