K300MIL ROAD PROJECT SET TO LAUNCH
Communities along the corridors of Poroma to Kutubu district of Southern Highlands province are ready for the official launching of the 100.2-kilometre Poroma to Kutubu Road Project.
The project is a major K300 million infrastructure investment under the PNG Government’s Connect PNG Program.
The official launching ceremony is scheduled for 1:30pm today and will be witnessed by representatives from 18 ward councils in the Kutubu District, as well as community members from Poroma. Local leaders, stakeholders, and residents have been mobilised to attend the historic event, which marks an important milestone for the long-awaited road development in the area
Prime Minister James Marape and Nipa-Kutubu MP Dr. Billy Joseph will officiate the launch.
While other top government officials are expected to witness the event, highlighting the government’s commitment to delivering critical infrastructure and connecting rural communities to essential services.
