An elderly man and loyal reseller of Trukai rice from Unayaoba Village in Goroka is the lucky winner of the Roots Rice win a home promotion.
Ukuti Inako sells medium-grain Roots rice in cups for K1.50 in his village at Unayaoba, Kamano LLG, Kainantu district of Eastern Highlands Province, to support his family. Earning about K50–K60 profit per bag of rice, he has continued this service unaware that his hard work would one day reward him with a kit home spacious enough for his family.
Last Thursday, the dedicated salesman received the keys to his new kit home from Trukai Industries, his face beaming with joy. Trukai Industries traveled to Kainantu to officially hand over the keys, marking the final and most significant moment of the prize presentation.
The handover brought great happiness to Unayaoba Village, where community members celebrated not only the prize but also Ukuti Inako’s dedication to his work.
The nationwide promotion ran from October 7, 2024, to February 28, 2025, with this presentation perfectly timed to brighten the festive season for the lucky winners.
