SILAG FIRST FOUNDATIONAL ALUMNI ASSOCIATION RECEIVE CERTIFICATES OF RECOGNITION

In the process of becoming a university, Somare Institute of Leadership and Governance (SILAG) has now established a foundational alumni association that will lead the members to connect and discuss issues, challenges and the policies.

More than 30 participants received certificates of recognition as foundational members for the first time in Port Moresby today.

The director for the corporate and acting chief executive officer Allan Kamale congratulated the members stating this is an important association.

“We want this association to be vibrant and we want to take it to the next level, we want to use this association to discuss policies, social issues and challenges,” he said.

Kamalesaid the purpose of the association is to create a platform for the members to connect and discuss ideas, research and have a well knowledge of experiences through the research collaborations so that the members can impart the knowledge to their various departments and sectors for the development of PNG.

He said the alumni foundational members comprised of students from across private and government sectors from across the country and their names will be written down the SILAG history book.

“You are the foundational members of the SILAG Bully Beef Alumni and your name will be written down on the history book,” he told the participants.
