A car accident along Highlands Highway has claimed the lives of two people and hospitalised two others yesterday at around 3am.
According to Police on the ground, the road accident occurred along Sinsing Creek in Markham where a Toyota ten-seater Landcruiser was traveling from Tambul in the Western Highlands Province to Lae. However, the driver lost control and the vehicle went into a nearby ravine.
The vehicle had four people on board including the driver. Two of the people on board were confirmed dead while two others sustained serious injuries and are currently receiving treatment at Angau Memorial Hospital in Lae.
