MORE OJT OPPORTUNITIES FOR ITI STUDENTS

The International Training Institute signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Holiday Inn and Suites, and Holiday Inn Express to strengthen the institute’s ongoing commitment to providing students with meaningful On-the-Job Training (OJT) opportunities before they graduate.

Portfolio General Manager IHG PNG Anne Busfield said, “As part of IHG’s Journey to Tomorrow commitment, we are dedicated to creating lasting, positive impact in the communities we serve and that starts with empowering the next generation.

She said this partnership with the International Training Institute goes beyond on-the-job training; it’s about unlocking potential, building confidence, and equipping Papua New Guinean students with the skills to succeed in hospitality and beyond.

“Together, we’re creating meaningful pathways to employment and shaping a more resilient future workforce,” Busfield said.

ITI Chairman and Co-Founder, Senthil Kumaran Sentheyval said, ITI’s key priority is ensuring students gain practical industry experience.

“Our goal is to prepare our students for the job market without losing valuable time after graduation,” he said.

Sentheyval, also highlighted the importance of connecting education with real-world experience.

“At ITI, we aim to equip students with both knowledge and practical skills so they can transition seamlessly into the workforce,” he said.

The chairman said, the ITI’s mission is not just about classroom learning, it’s about helping students gain practical experience so they’re ready for the job market right away.
