Preparations for Madang’s Golden Jubilee Independence celebrations are underway, with stakeholders meeting recently to finalize plans for the province’s commemorations.
Madang Governor Ramsey Pariwa, who attended the gathering, praised the committee for their work and called on the people of Madang to embrace the spirit of unity during the celebrations.
“Only you can make this day truly great by celebrating with the real spirit of freedom and independence,” Pariwa said.
He encouraged the community to take part in the festivities, adding, “I look forward to seeing your program come alive. Let us all come together to celebrate the Golden Jubilee – Papua New Guinea’s 50th Independence Anniversary.”
The meeting, chaired by Madang Provincial Events Committee Chairman Siegfried Beschel, brought together government representatives, sponsors, and community partners to map out activities and programs designed for the event.
Bechel emphasized the importance of collaboration in ensuring the success of the celebrations and outlined key plans for the event.
