JUBILEE-RESET GOSPEL MUSIC FESTIVAL

Papua New Guinea’s 50th Independence Anniversary is a one-time event that should be celebrated with pride but in unity.

Our diversity has always branded us as unique, however our Christian values is an aspect that unites us all.

The national events officially begin this weekend with the two-days Jubilee-Reset Gospel Music Festival at the Sir John Guise Stadium in Port Moresby.

It will be PNG’s largest faith based music celebration that will commence on the 23rd -24th of August.

There will be 60 church bands, 20 church choirs, 11 dance groups, including worship singer Sinach and Scripture Vibration, including a two days drama demonstrating how churches and the gospel came to be before the independence of Papua New Guinea.

As the final count down to the event begins, Chairman of the Jubilee-Reset Gospel Music Festival, Pastor Peter Bogembo said, organizers of the event are on schedule in ensuring things are in place before the festival.

Ps. Bogembo highlighted the event.

“This is more than a celebration; it is a significant timeline for the nation as a whole to reset and thank God before the Golden Jubilee in September,” he said.

For people unable to attend in person mainstream media organizations will be broadcasting the 2 days festival enabling all to tune in and join in on the national celebrations.

During the gospel music festival, the churches will also have their exhibits.

Moreover, this is a free ticketed event where people are urged to collect the tickets from their churches or at a booth at Stop N Shop Waigani Central.

“It is a free event, the tickets are only given out to monitor and control the movement of crowds during the festival,” Ps. Bogembo clarified.

Children under 13 will not need a ticket but to be accompanied by their guardian or parents that have tickets to attend the Gospel festival.
