PAPUA NEW GUINEA MUST EXPORT HUMAN RESOURCE BEYOND 50th ANNIVERSARY

PAPUA New Guineans must export doctors, nurses and engineers in the different fields and not labourers after 50 years of independence.

This was the challenge spoken by Kumul Mineral Holdings Limited (KMHL) Director and Heduru Moni Plus Limited Managing Director Aho Baliki to parents, students and teachers at the Ifiufa Junior High School, Eastern Highlands Province.

Baliki spoke during the opening of the 6 in 1 classroom funded by KMH Ltd, challenging parents that education is very important and critical. And this, he said, it begins in the family at home before going into classrooms.

He said students who are well trained at home excel in their education and add more value to the human resource development of the country.

Mr. Baliki added that while the KMHL is pleased to provide a good learning environment for students as an investment into the future generation of nation builders, students must respect the facilities provided.

He further added that Ifiufa primary school back than has produced many elites and facilities add value to the schools’ profile to produce the next generation of doctors, lawyers and engineers that will sell PNG talents overseas and not as labourers.

Baliki went on to say that in the past 50 years, the country has seen a lot of progress and challenges at the same time politically, economically and socially while people are still struggling and must be trained well or we will go backwards.
