LOCAL COMPANY SUPPORTS WIDOWS AND WIDOWERS IN NUKU, WEST SEPIK PROVINCE

OLARS LIMITED, a locally owned company in Nuku District of West Sepik Province is supporting widows and widowers in Ward three (3) of Nuku Central LLG since its establishment in 2013.
The company gave basic food items like rice, tinned fish, oil, sugar, coffee, salt, flour and laundry detergents as part of its community obligation.
Speaking on behalf of the company Napthalie Bokorum said they usually pack the items and send them to the widows and widowers at the end of every month.
“The company currently supports 26 widows and 8 widowers in Ward three of Nuku Central LLG,” Bokorum said.
Jonathan Nembesingla, a son of a widow said, “This initiative by the company’s managing director Mr. Tadi Masi and his wife Jillian gave a relief to us as children of widows who were struggling to support our mothers and I know it is the same for others as well,”.
“This is a first of its kind that I have seen in West Sepik were a local company, out of its own initiative decided to support widows and widowers. I for one really appreciate the support.”
