Wabag District Member Dr Lino Tom is grateful to announce to the people of the Maramuni Local Level Government, Wabag District and Enga Province that the official tender for the K30 million Maramuni Rural Hospital project will be publicly advertised for bidding.
He stated that the Rural Hospital project for Maramuni which will cost K30 million including the full equipment setup is ready for tender.
Dr. Lino confirmed that all documentation is completed and the Enga Provincial Health Authority (EPHA) and Enga Provincial Government’s Procurement Commissionn will be tasked to put up this project up for tender.
He said that the facility will have labour wards, labs, x-ray facilities and emergency outfits with surgical procedure rooms.
“It will have wards for admission; an incinerator and a complete uplift of staff houses,” Dr. Lino said.
On behalf of the Wabag District Development Authority, he sincerely acknowledged Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade of the Australian government for the grant funding under the Asian Development Bank.
Meanwhile, work on the road upgrade has already started in anticipation and all log bridges will be replaced by steel bridges accordingly.
“Two bridges have already been completed and the third will be completed soon,” Lino said.
