An earthquake measuring 5.7 on the Richter scale shook south western part of Morobe Province today. According to the US Geological Survey, the quake occurred 17Km South South-west of Finschhafen at a depth of 41.4Km.
This occurred at around 03:42:52.240 UTC (1:42PM-PNG local time).
There were no tsunami warnings given for this magnitude.
