Prime Minister James Marape yesterday morning announced incumbent Lae Open MP John Rosso as the new Deputy Prime Minister.
This will fill the gap of the late Sam Basil who died of a tragic Car accident along the Lae Bulolo Highway recently.
The formalities of the portfolio will be done on Wednesday when Prime Minister return from a Business Forum and Trade Expo trip in Australia.
“I will come back on Wednesday and formally appoint John Rosso as the Deputy Prime Minister in respect of late Sam Basil” James Marape said.
John Rosso is the Minister for Land and Physical Planning served under PANGU Party.
