The Central Provincial Government Assembly has passed the 2021 Provincial Budget.
The 2021 Provincial Budget summary is as follows:
Total National Grant: K51,779,572.02
Total Internal Revenue: K25,840,099.05
Total Development/Capital Grant: K71,031,711.34
Total PHQ: K148,651,382.86
Total Districts and LLGs: K44,150,400.00
Total PHQ,Districts, and LLGs: K192,801,782.86
Staffing Grant: K18,657,000.00
Teachers’ Salaries: K61,263,600.00
Total Personal Emolument: K79,920,600.00
Grant Total: K272,722,382.86
This is the 4th consecutive budget passed under the leadership of Central Governor Robert Agarobe.
There were also concerns raised by members of the assembly regarding the roll-over of the K78 Million from last year’s budget, disaster relief in the province, secondary schools including roads and bridges in the province.
Work has already begun to implement the 2021 budget.
