By Vasinatta Yama – EMTV News, Mt. Hagen

A suspect was arrested at his home in Wapenamanda Electorate in Enga Province for growing and selling marijuana. A joint security force of Police and PNG Defense Force uprooted 193 marijuana plants and disposed of it.

The joint security forces will continue the drug raid throughout Enga Province, as this was outlined in the 2019 Police Action Plan to curb law and order issues in the Province.

Province Police Commander, Joseph Tondop says marijuana is a contributing factor to tribal fights in the Province and more arrests will be made on marijuana growers, sellers and buyers.
