THE KPHL NEW GUINEA ISLANDS NSL CONFERENCE READY TO START COMPETITION

The New Guinea Islands region will now officially take part in the Kumul Petroleum National Soccer League. The New Guinea Islands NSL conference comprises five teams with the official kick-off match scheduled at the Muthuvel Stadium in Kimbe, West New Britain. The official launch was staged in Port Moresby by PNG Football Association President John Kapi Natto.

BSP SCHOOL CRICKET LAUNCH

The BSP School Cricket programmed has  launched its 2019 program at the Hagara Primary School here in the Nation’s capital. It has grown significantly all around the country reaching over 180, 000 children in 2018, and over a million children since its inception, in 2009.

FENCING PNG

As a newly introduced sport to Papua New Guinea, the sport of Fencing is already making strides in its development phase here in the capital, with the level 1 training of coaches who are expected to facilitate the introduction of the sport to the rest of the country.

ROAD TO SAMOA 2019

Being the defending Champions of the Pacific Games from the 2015 Games, Papua New Guinea will be arriving in Samoa in July with a determination to make sure, that status stays that way. And in order to do so, a lot of work has been and is still going on to make sure Team PNG, attends the games in full force. And TEAM PNG’S JUSTIFICATION COMMITTEE PRESIDENT MICHAEL HENAO CLEARS THE AIR PACIFIC GAMES SELECTION PROCESSES.

WUSHU KUNG FU

Sifu Steven Ngandang tied the knot with Shaolin Kung Fu Wushu in 1985 and it has been 3 decades of practising this ancient Chinese Art. Sifu Steven who is merely a custodian for this art in the country has seen through many of today’s martial arts fighters’ start with Shaolin Kung Fu and have later advanced on to greater heights in competitive martial arts. In this story, Sifu Steven and longest practising student Andrew Molen reflect on their Journey.

TAHINA BOOTH SIGNS DEAL WITH SECOND TIER TEAM IN THE WNRL

PNG Orchids Tahina Booth signs contract with the Cronulla Sharks WNRL second tier team, she becomes the second woman with PNG heritage after Emmila Kuk to play in the women’s elite rugby league competition in Australia.
