Port Moresby residents should prepare for the power outage to continue in some areas due to the bad weather.
The bad weather has seen several main power feeders affected.
PNG power gave daily updates throughout the day on areas they working on to restore electricity.
By 2pm PNG Power advised that all PNG Power Technical Teams had been dispatched to rectify and restore Port Moresby Power Feeders to restore supply.
Areas at 8mile, 9mile and Bomana should expect power outage to continue in the days to come as a HV power pole at 8mile that had collapsed due to strong wind may take days to restore.
Meanwhile the bad weather and power outage affected traffic lights and residents should take extra precaution when driving.
