Police are still working at establishing facts surrounding the shootout at Vision City Service Station over the weekend.
Metropolitan Superintendent, Perou N’Dranou, confirmed that there was an attempted armed robbery at the Service Station but quick responses from the securities at the area prevented the robbers from getting anything.
At around 2pm on Saturday afternoon, armed men entered the Vision City Service Station and tried to rob it. According to Police reports so far, the security guards at the premises were quick to respond.
While suspects are still at large, police believe that the firearm used by the robbers was a pistol.
Meanwhile, police are still waiting for CCTV footages to be handed to them for further investigations.
The three suspects who were caught and questioned by police on Saturday were later released as they were found to have no link to the incident.
However, Met Sup N’Dranou says their particulars are with the police and should anything come up connecting them to the attempted robbery, they will be brought in again.
A full report will be released by police once investigations are completed.
