The China PNG Friendship Association presented a cheque of K1.3 million including donations in kind towards the victims of the earthquake.
Prime Minister, Peter O’Neill, says these donations will be delivered to the people in the remotest areas who are affected.
Today, the China PNG Friendship Association presented a cheque of K1.3 million to assist the government in response to the earthquake disaster efforts in the Highlands.
Deputy Chief of Mission, Yao Ming, on behalf of the community sincerely extended their sympathy to the people of Southern Highlands.
In just two days a fundraising committee not only raised cash but various Chinese business houses and concerned individuals throughout the country also donated in kind.
Prime Minister Peter O’Neill says these donations will be delivered to the remotest parts of the Southern Highlands.
He also acknowledged the China PNG Friendship for their continued support and aid for such times as this.
