Kua Thanks PM O’Neill’s Presence at the Opening of ELCPNG Synod

Sinasina-Yonggomugl District MP Kerenga Kua thanks Prime Minister Peter O’Neill for his personal attendance on the Opening day of the 31st National Synod for the Evengelical Lutheran Church of Papua New Guinea.

Kua who was participating in the Synod’s Opening Ceremony conveyed the gratitude of the Delegations attending the Synod and the host ELC East Simbu District to the Prime Minister through a media statement sent to EMTV later today.

“I was there as the political representative of the people of Sinasina-Yonggomugl on occasion to receive the Prime Minister and his Delegations of the Ministers and Members of Parliament.” Kua said.

Kua further said PM’s attendance left the Delegates in very high spirit and the synod will be a very productive one.

The Prime Minister on his attendance emphasised a stronger collaboration between churches and government to deal with pressing issues in the country.

Attended by over 4000 delegates and observer, the synod has started on Monday and will be closed on Friday with the closing remarks given by the Governor General Sir Bob Dadae.

The people of Mogl Kagai village of Calvary Circuit, ELC East Simbu worked tirelessly days and nights to see the Synod eventuate.
