Airline operator, PNG Air is supporting the National Government’s focus on agriculture.
Board of Directors Chairman, Murray Woo, told EMTV News, they are upgrading their air freighter services to cater for the demand.
This afternoon, the board of directors led by the chairman, visited the engineering hangar.
In the hangar, a dash-8 aircraft, modified for freighter configuration.
In its two years of operation, PNG Air has recorded increased cargo movements up to four tons.
The airline has also acquired 500 thousand additional seats in the domestic market and introduced four sectors as their operating routes.
PNG Air has acquired seven new ATR aircrafts so far, with the latest, Alpha Tango Foxtrot.
The move comes in time with the Festivities.
