Yuni villagers who claim to be the Land Owners of PDL 1 & 7 are still demanding the Government to pay up K35 million of their outstanding royalty payment.
Today, a source said the land owners gave one week for the Government to address and sort them out and they left the site back to their village at Yuni with a big log blocking the road access at Hides 1 leading to Hides 3.
PNGDF Delta company of Taurama, Lae based MS 13, MS 9 from Tari and MS 8 from Chimbu have been deployed to the area and are now on the ground maintaining the situation.
Hela Police will soon make a statement on the matter.
