The informal market at Erima Recreational Park is not a part of the National Capital District Commission’s plan.
The vendors who have moved out of Gordon’s Market as a result of its closure will be relocated to other designated Markets organised by NCDC within the city.
Kay Kaugla, Gender Officer, NCDC Gender Desk told EMTV News that Gordon’s Market vendors were advised of the relocation through their respective associations.
She said they know which markets they are supposed to be selling at but were also encouraged to sell at markets which they feel more safe to sell their items.
While spacing still remains a concern, Kaugla said vendors have been encouraged to work together for a safe environment for everyone.
