The new system will enable Higher Learning Institutions to make selections more transparently compared to the old system where selections were done manually.

34 higher learning institutions and stake holders today, participated in a seminar to introduce the institutions to the selection system and also on how to use the system.

PCG Academia, a Polish subsidiary of the American Public Consulting Group, is engaged to introduce the system in the country.

Chief Executive Officer of PCG Academia, Leszek Lewoc said manual systems are prone to many mistakes and as such they were engaged to bring in the online system so that selections are done fairly.

Minister Niningi said the new system will save the Department of Higher Education K5million, as well as, minimising corrupt practises of the past.

He said the system will also make sure maximum opportunities are given to grade 12 school leavers who are eligible to continue their studies.
