A Human Rights Lawyer Nominates for WHP Regional Seat

A Human Rights Lawyer, Danny Gonol, was nominated this afternoon for Western Highlands Regional seat.

Gonol is running under the Christian Democratic Party, led by Party Leader and Morobe Governor, Kelly Naru.

So far, five candidates have already paid their nomination fees for the Regional Seat.

Those who already paid their nomination fees were Lucas Kiap, who is running under the People’s Movement For Changes.

Other independent candidates are Samson Komati, Professor John Nongor and Tiri Kuimbakul.

Gonol said if he wins the Governor seat, he will give incentives to businesses and locals to make business bigger and better. If he takes office as the Governor for Western Highlands Province, he expects to create at least 200 jobs in the Provincial Government. He is also intending to build a university in Western Highlands Province.

Gonol believes in his Party, saying that only the Christian Democratic Party can bring change to PNG.

One of Gonol’s policies is to make the Western Highlands Province the financial, agricultural and religious centre of PNG.

Gonolpaid his nomination fee this afternoon in front of the Provincial Returning Officer.

Christian Democratic Party is a political party which is based on Christian Principles.

However, for Gonol, his main policy is to make Mt Hagen a conducive place for people to live, by improving the image of Western Highlands Province.
