PNGDF Commits 2017 As Year Of Leadership

PNGDF Commander, Brigadier General Gilbert Toropo has announced 2017 will be a year of leadership within the PNGDF Organisation.

The commander announced this today at the annual PNGDF Commander’s Conference in Port Moresby.

Commander Toropo highlighted three (3) priority areas for 2017.

1. Force Sustainability and Growth

2. Rebuild and Relocation

3. Branch Priorities

Toropo said since taking the post of Commander in 2014, he has been on a mission to uplift and develop the Defence Force.

He said good leadership at all ranks is the way forward for the organisation if it wants to achieve core tasks set in the 2013 Defence White Paper.

Meanwhile, participating in church activities and physical fitness programs will be some activities the organisation will carry out this year apart from major operations like the coming General Elections.

The conference started today and will end on Friday.
