Cocoa Farmers Competing Against Unstable Cocoa Prices, Cocoa Pod Borer Infestation

 

The Cocoa Board of Papua New Guinea says the PNG cocoa industry is struggling to remain on its feet.

Farmers’ confidence in cocoa farming has dipped in recent years due to the onslaught of the cocoa pod borer and unstable cocoa price.

The PNG Cocoa Board says providing farmers incentives may be the only means to regain lost confidence in this once thriving industry.
