Data collection for Tuition fee free policy is important, especially when it comes to identifying ghost schools, teachers, and false number of students enrolled in schools.
Education Minister, Nick Kuman said that he understood the importance of data collection, and is a priority for education ministry.
With the Tution Fee Free policy, schools are given their TFF Funding based on the number of students enrolled,and the level of the school.
Minister for education said his ministry has tried cracking down on ghost schools and teachers along with false number of students attending the school.
This is through having updated data that is sent from head teachers and principals.
Education Secretary, Uke Kombra says that there are four components that identifyabschool’s eligibility.
Kuman also said that the Education Ministry has placed TFF coordinators in each province.
