Prime Minister Peter O’Neill is confident to form the next Government after the 2017 General Elections.
PM O’Neill said despite criticism levelled against the ruling Government, O’Neill says the Government will strive for revolutionary policies to meet global standards.
The Prime Minister made this statement while hosting a Christmas party for stakeholders at the Parliament’s State Function Room recently in Port Moresby.
Reflecting on Government’s achievement and challenges, the Prime Minister says, more work remains outstanding but says, the development foundation has been established by the current Government.
“Five years is not an appropriate time frame to analyse what the ruling Government plans to deliver, I believe another two terms will surely prove our desire to raise PNG to another level in development”, said PM O’Neill.
Wishing the stakeholders a merry Christmas and prosperous 2017, Prime Minister O’Neill appealed for better understanding and strengthening relationships to achieve development desires.
O’Neill said the Government will maintain its priority development areas in education, health, and infrastructure to move the country forward.
Invited individuals from the private sector, state agencies, Government bureaucrats, senior public servants and members of parliament and development partners attended the function.
