The people of West Yangoru Local Level Government (LLG) in the Yangoru-Saussia District of East Sepik Province, have been urged by the Minister for Trade Commerce & Industry, and Member for Yangoru-Saussia District, Richard Maru, to refrain from seeking compensation for Government services.
Minister Maru made the call when presenting a cheque worth K300, 000.00 to the Yangoru-Saussia District’s Civil Engineer, Livingstone Hosea on behalf of East Sepik Provincial Works Department last Thursday, for the construction of a road project that will run from Bapendu to Bubuamu, and to Nidipari villages in the West Yangoru LLG.
Minister Maru said the construction of this road will enable the smooth delivery of goods and services in and out of all villages and communities after a long wait for 30 years for a good road.
Minister Maru also announced that this year, a maternity ward will be built at Naksmigal Health Centre at the cost of K200, 000, to service women and mothers from West Yangoru LLG.
“Meanwhile, five new pre-fab aid posts for Yangoru Saussia District, have already arrived at Wewak. One of the five will be a new Aid post for Guningi-Wakupma and one for Kwayan in West Yangoru.
