Vocal Fusion Battle of Two Seasons 3 & 4 | Clash of the Top 9

It is going to be a rainy Sunday as the Top 9 contestants from the Vocal Fusion Battle of Two Seasons (VF BOTS) 3 & 4 bring to stage songs with the theme “rain” on EMTV.

Though not all days are sunshine, rainy days do bring with them greener fields. The contestants will bring to the stage great songs about “rain” which bring sense of freshness, relief and excitement.

With the opening act by the bottom three from last week, VF BOTS 3 & 4 climbs yet another ladder this week.

Singing ‘Rain over me’ by American rapper Pitbull, McSteve Polly, Charlie Sonos and Mary Magdalene Bolokon rocked the stage during the live recording to open the show. The trio will also be performing individually.

Pulling through from last week’s top 10, Alotau’s Isaiah Manoa will be singing to the PNG audience ‘Come Rain or Come Shine’, a great love song written by Danny Gokey. Also singing a love song, the only geologist in the competition, Schneider Yasi, will be singing a legendary song, originally written and sung by Roger Penzabene as a testament to his love for his wife. This song was specifically written after the broken-hearted Penzabene learnt of his wife’s dishonesty in their marriage.

Season 3 Grand Winner, Tehillah Ben-Oba, who also made it through from Top 10 will be singing ‘It Feels Like Rain’, a song by American R&B singer and musician Aaron Neville.

‘Make It Through the Rain’ a song meant to be an insight into Mariah Carey’s personal struggles throughout 2001, and lyrically talks about encouraging others, is the song to be performed by Shannon Kamilus, who beautifully delivered her own composition titled ‘Beautiful’ on last week’s episode.

Another female contestant, Annette Poipoi, is set to bring to PNG her song titled ‘Hard Rain’ written by Gwen Noel Sebastian, the American country music singer and songwriter.

VF Season 4 Grand Winner Junior Elizah, brings to stage his favourite music style, the Reggae song ‘Rainy Days’ from the United Kingdom band, General Public.

Two lucky contestants voted in successfully by the public through VF Online voting will also be announced to join the Top 9, but they will one more time impress the judges to remain in the competition.

The other bottom three will entirely be at the mercy of public voting and thus voting line opens straight after the show.

The shows which were recorded live on the Wednesday 22 March at The Cosmopolitan in Port Moresby, will be aired on EMTV on Sunday 26 March.
