As a spokesperson for Lady Veronica and the children, I seek your understanding and your unity (wanbel) among our leaders and people of both provinces to unite, establish understanding and harmony essential for the smooth and orderly program as formulated by the Provincial Committee in Wewak.
It has not been easy for the children and I to establish understanding with national leaders led by the Prime Minister and provincial leaders, led by the two Governors of East and West Sepik, to come this far for the formulation of the appropriate and acceptable national and provincial programs.
The greatest comfort all of us can provided to Lady Veronica and the children is to accompany them in their journey to lay her husband and their father and the father of the nation to rest in Wewak.
I wish to seek your understanding to put aside our differences and come together in peace and understanding to provide the best and the most dignified program from receiving of the casket on arrival through to the funeral mass and the burial service.
