The SP PNG Hunters have registered their first trial-match win against Northern Pride over the weekend.
After watching the game, PNGRFL Chairman, Sandi Tsaka, congratulated Coach, Michael Marum, and his players for their outstanding performance.
Tsaka added that their win was an indication of the programs and systems the team has put in place for this pre-season.
Replying to Tsaka’s comments, Coach Marum says his team is a better side this year and once they get the combinations right with the players they will be very hard to beat in the Intrust Super Cup this season.
The Hunters defeated the Northern Pride 24 to 18 at the Kangaroo Oval in Cairns, Australia.
