Trade Link International Donates

By Staycey Yalo – EMTV News, Port Moresby

Trade Link International has joined in providing medical supplies and equipment to Hela and Southern Highlands provinces as part of the disaster relief effort.

Much needed medical supplies and equipment worth about K158,000 was presented to Tari Provincial Health Authority and Catholic Health Services today in Port Moresby.

Since the earthquake occurred on the 26th of February, Trade Link International has been putting its thought to process to identify appropriate relief assistance for the two most affected areas of Southern Highlands and Hela. Heal Provincial Health Authority, and Catholic Health Services, under the diocese of Mendi has been identified as the two service providers to extend the relief assistance.

Trade Links said, the struggle of the people in the affected areas are unimaginable and that it hopes other business houses also join in to provide assistance.

The donation today was welcomed by the representatives of the two provinces because receiving basic health supplies to these provinces had always been a struggle even before the earthquake.

Cooperate Services Director for Hela Provincial Authority, Elizabeth Boyd says, support from donor partners such as Trade Links has helped a lot in managing the situation which would have been disastrous if there was no assistance from the public and private partners.
