On the 18th January, the Northern Province grieved while paying tribute to the thirteen people killed in a fatal road accident along the Kokoda Highway.
The accident occurred on January 2nd 2017, when an oil palm fruit truck travelling to the Hiagaturu Oil Palm Company Mill collided with an on coming PMV at Pekuma Base in the Ijivitari district.
