TELIKOM SIGNS MOBILE EXPANSION MOU WITH SHP

Telikom Limited has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Southern Highlands Provincial Government yesterday the 30th of November, 2022 at the Telikom Head-office in Port Moresby.

This MOU was the Mobile Expansion Partnership that will now see a roll out of Telikom network coverage in the entire province.

Signing the agreement was Telikom Limited CEO Amos Tepi and the Southern Highlands Provincial Administrator, Jerry David.

Tepi described this agreement as a unique one where this will now see the province taking the lead.

This is part of the Province’s Communication Plan.

Provincial Administrator Jerry David said this MOU will pave the way for a wider network coverage that will reach the rural parts of the province.

And is also a development aspect where information will be of vital use to improve the livelihood of the people.

David also added that with Telikom’s cheaper services that would be convenient to the customers there.

As well as a 100% PNG owned entity, it is good to have their services rolled out in the province.

In response to this, CEO Tepi made the announcement that a regional office will be set up in Mendi and work is underway.
