Kimbe Cutters rugby team from West New Britain Province has received K100,000 from Talasea District Development Authority (TDDA) to assist them in the 2025 Exxon Mobil Digicel Cup this month.
TDDA Chairman and local MP Freddie Reu Kumai presented the K100,000 cheque to the Kimbe Cutters Board and Management last weekend.
The event was attended by West New Britain Provincial member Sasindran Muthuvel and Kimbe Cutters Board Chairman Stephen Raphael.
Mr. Kumai said that TDDA has been a major sponsor of the West New Britain Provincial Government franchise team since 2022 when he was elected.
He is committed to ensuring that the youth and young leaders of the province can develop their raw talents and pursue a future in rugby league.
