SP PNG Open Resumed Day 3

Day 3 of the SP Export PNG Open saw a change in the leader board as Kris Mueck overtook defending champion Peter Zwart who dropped a shot off the lead.

Professional Golfer’s from Australia, New Zealand and the Asia-Pacific have been going head to head, but PNG golfers are also impressing on the scene.

The competition has begun to heat up leading towards the final day of play with golfers now beginning to show real intent on scoring well.

Papua New Guinean Nelson Gabriel had had a poor showing in the Morobe Open, but was showing a lot more signs of improvement, teeing off against Robin James on the 10th hole.

PGA tournament coordinator, Justin Maker, rounded off the previous day’s action and stated that the field was still open.

The competition will end tomorrow with K350 000 in prize money up for grabs.
