A newly established business in Lae, PNG on Demand hosted a SME meeting on the weekend that brought together small business owners.
The meeting is an avenue where local SME business owners get together and market their business to potential clients.
More than 90 small business owners in Lae attended.
The event was organised by PNG on Demand, a newly established business in Lae and Tok Stret Consulting Limited.
The Marketing and Ads Coordinator for PNG on Demand Limited, Robert Kopana said this is the third meeting the business has organised to connect SMEs in Lae.
Mr. Kopana said through data collected, 90 percent of the SMEs who attended are operating at homes and do not have access for networking.
SMEs are increasing in Lae City. People have the potential to operate their own businesses that can eventually grow or cease.
Julliane Terry from Tok Stret Consulting Limited said such events organized helps SMEs to establish and strengthen their business activities so they continue to grow.
